According to a government document, the Freeport restaurant linen and uniform rental service will close two facilities and lay off 111 workers.

According to documents on the New York State Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act website, North Shore Linen Inc. expects these workers to be laid off when the facilities at Rider Place and Hanse Avenue are closed around February 24.

A company representative declined to comment.

Calls to the two unions representing North Shore linen workers—Danbury, Connecticut, the Office of the International Skilled Workers and Related Industries Union and the Office of the American Federation of Workers’ Island Parks—were not immediately answered.

Documents released on Friday stated that the company will close two of its facilities because the business has been sold.

According to the company’s website, North Shore Linen provides cushions, tablecloths and uniforms, including aprons and chef coats, which consist of more than 30 cars.
